NEW YORK – March 7, 2022 – Due to the unprovoked and ongoing attacks by Russia on Ukraine, the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), the digital media and marketing trade association, has suspended IAB licenses in Russia and Belarus.
The decision was approved by IAB leadership and members of the board.
“IAB supports the courageous people of Ukraine, and the brave Russians who are standing up against the illegal belligerence and authoritarian oppressiveness of the current Russian Government,” said David Cohen, Chief Executive Officer, IAB. “It is with a combination of sadness, anger, and resolve that IAB has made the decision to suspend the Russian and Belarusian IAB licenses. We need to do whatever is within our power to end the violence in Ukraine. We encourage our member companies to do the same.”
